Great first day of South Islands for DSCB swimmers!

Congratulations to DSCB swimmers who have won 11 Gold, 8 Silver and 5 Bronze medals after Day 1 of racing at South Island Champs.

On top of this Caitlin Deans has broken 3 Otago Records and swum faster than the New Zealand 13 year old 800 free record in a new time of 9.05.74, however this record can not be ratified due to this meet not having electronic timing which is required for NZ records to be accepted.

Caitlin's 3 Gold medals and Otago age group SC records include the 800 record, as well the 400IM record, held by Phoebe Williams in a new time of 5.11.22, plus the 200 Free record in a new time of 2.08.17. Congratulations Caitlin on these outstanding swims!
