- Olympic & Paralympic Games experience (5 Games campaigns)
- Started Swim Coaching and Teaching in 1977 – robust apprenticeship with Duncan Laing
- Former NZ Rep in SLS and OW Swimming
- Former Pro Surf Ironman Athlete
- Returned to Dunedin in 2018 after working overseas for 20 years in High Performance Coaching
- Employed with British Swimming for 14 ½ years and with Swim Ireland for 5 years
- High Performance roles also included local club and junior Swimming Development

Coach development
In association with Swim NZ, we support the continued professional development of swim coaches.
We have a team of casual coaches who are qualified (or working towards their qualifications). Inline with Swimming NZ policies, our coaches are all police vetted and have completed the following online courses:
